The Outdoor Opportunity Fund, (founded in 1968) a 501c3 non-profit organization, raises funds for activities of disabled children. The fund is supported by volunteers and the parents of these special children. Through the years we have supported such programs as Special Olympics baseball, donated craft projects to the Hemophilia Association and to special education classes at camp for 400-600 children each year at D-A Scout Ranch. We also opperate a loan closet
of camping gear and other equipment special groups can borrow.
In recent years, the balance of funds raised by the Outdoor Opportunity Fund have provided a nature trail that has a fishing pier, viewing decks, nature shelters and a 115' bridge across a marsh area that is accessible for those with disabilities.
